First thing in the AM, she has a cup of coffee and then takes her dogs for a walk. "Sleep is important for good health. Experts say eight hours of shut-eye is a good idea for most adults. And whether you're a sound sleeper or someone who has trouble sleeping, your body goes through sleep stages," says the Mayo Clinic. Make sure to get enough. Tina loves hiking, so much so that she spent her birthday weekend on the trails with a few friends. "The #hiking trails around Oakhurst were absolutely magical," she captioned this photo from her celebratory outdoor adventure.
Tina understands the importance of hydration. In addition to drinking lots of water, she also uses a preworkout formula to help stay hydrated. "Endura-Formance by @1stphorm ๐โ one scoop in 8 ounces of cold water immediately before training, to amplify strength, delay muscle fatigue and increase hydration ๐ฆ๐ช๐ผ #iam1stphorm #preworkout," she captioned a recent post.
"I'm a vegan," Tina Louise revealed during her interview with Pure Karma. While she has only been a vegan for about six years, she was a pescatrian for several years before she ditched animal products altogether. She even has a vegan restaurant, Sugar Taco, which she co-owns with model Jayde Nicole. "Eating a vegetarian or vegan diet can be a healthy, exciting alternative to traditional meat-based meal planning. Following a vegetarian diet may be easier than you think. There's a wide variety of meat, dairy and egg replacements available at some markets. You can find many recipes on the internet and in cookbooks," says the Cleveland Clinic.
Tina is all about exercise. "I do pilates at least twice a week. I also do yoga three times a week. And I hike a lot. At least three times a week," she told Pure Kana. You can also find her in the gym doing strength and weight training workouts, like in this video shared to her Instagram account. "Strengthening your muscles gives you the ability to perform everyday activities and helps protect your body from injury. Stronger muscles also lead to a boost in your metabolic rate, which means you'll burn more calories even when your body is at rest," says the AHA.
Tina, who has opened up about suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, uses CBD products to help relieve symptoms. "I've been taking CBD for a year and a half now. It helps. It really calms me down," she said during her interview with Pure Kana. "There are many intriguing findings in pre-clinical studies that suggest CBD and hemp oil have anti-inflammatory effects and may be helpful with improving sleep and anxiety," says Brent Bauer, M.D., an internist and director of research for the Mayo Clinic Integrative Medicine program, in the Mayo Clinic. "But trials in humans are still limited, so it is too early to be definitive about efficacy and safety."
